This policy explains what personal data MyBuyHub collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to this website.
Data we collect
- Account data — if you create an account: your email address, display name and, optionally, an avatar.
- Preferences — your selected country and currency, theme, and the products you save to favourites.
- Usage data — anonymous records of outbound merchant clicks (product, merchant, country, price, referrer) used to measure which listings are useful.
- Technical data — standard server log information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
To run your account, remember your preferences, show relevant prices in your currency, measure and improve the service, and detect abuse. Where required, our legal bases are the performance of a contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.
Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary storage for your session, country and theme preferences. Affiliate networks and merchants may set their own cookies once you follow an outbound link so a purchase can be attributed to us; those cookies are controlled by them and governed by their privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site — hosting, database and authentication (Supabase) and affiliate networks that record referred clicks — and where we are legally required to do so.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted on request. Click and analytics records are retained in aggregate for operational reporting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or request portability. Contact hello@mybuyhub.com and we will respond within the period required by law.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new revision date.
