MyBuyHub ("we", "us") is an independent shopping assistant. We take your privacy seriously and only collect the minimum information required to provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password (via our authentication provider, Supabase).
- Preferences — country selection, favorites, comparison lists and recent searches. These may be stored locally on your device or in your account.
- Usage data — pages you visit, searches you run and links you click. Used to improve the product and troubleshoot issues.

How we use your information
- To provide and improve the MyBuyHub service.
- To remember your preferences (country, favorites, comparisons).
- To generate anonymised analytics that help us understand what's working.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Cookies & analytics
MyBuyHub uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential — authentication, session and remembering your country selection. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4), only loaded after you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. Data is anonymised and used in aggregate.
- Affiliate — outbound links to partner marketplaces may set their own cookies to attribute a referral. These are governed by the destination marketplace's privacy policy.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer (coming soon).
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and data storage.
- Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics (consent-based).
- Partner marketplaces — receive traffic via affiliate links you choose to follow.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA) you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@mybuyhub.app.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal information from our systems, subject to legal retention requirements.
Children
MyBuyHub is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page.
